Upon arrival at Srinagar Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport, popularly known as the “City of Reshis & Sufis” and the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, you will be greeted by your driver and transferred to the hotel for check-in. In the evening, enjoy a serene Shikara ride on the world-famous Dal Lake, exploring floating vegetable gardens and open waters. Birdwatching opportunities abound, with species such as Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, and Grebe.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your sightseeing tour. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple, historically significant as the place where the great philosopher and saint Shankaracharya stayed. Next, proceed to the Hazratbal Mosque, a pristine white marble structure reflecting in Dal Lake. Visit Jamia Masjid, one of Srinagar’s largest cmosques. In the afternoon, explore the Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh – The ‘Garden of Pleasure’ built in 1633. Shalimar Bagh – The ‘Garden of Love’ built in 1619. Chashmashahi Garden – Known for its royal spring and scenic beauty.
After an early breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers.” Gulmarg is a premier hill resort and a famous ski destination with the world’s highest 18-hole golf course. Enjoy sightseeing and optional activities such as a Gondola ride to Mount Affarwat, trekking in the Khilanmarg meadows, or skiing (advanced level). Return to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Pahalgam, also known as the “Valley of Shepherds.” En route, visit the Awantipura Ruins (19th century). Explore Pahalgam at leisure or visit nearby attractions: Aru Valley – Scenic meadows, lakes, and trekking base for Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. After breakfast, depart for Sonmarg, meaning “Meadow of Gold.” Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-clad mountains, pine forests, and glacial rivers. The region serves as a base for trekking, high-altitude lakes, and the Amarnath Holy Cave. Later, return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for a punctual transfer to Srinagar Domestic Airport for your onward journey.
